Context on the numbers

Apple review typically takes 24–48 hours, up to 72 for a first submission, and is slower in September and December. A rejection resets the clock, so one rejection commonly turns a three-day launch into two to three weeks.

Review tightened in 2026 in response to the volume of hastily-built submissions, and AI-built apps are affected disproportionately — not because of how the code was written, but because they tend to look finished and break under real conditions.
